Slemani Founding Day
Celebrating the rich heritage and history of Sulaymaniyah city, students and faculty organize exhibitions, seminars, and cultural performances to honor the city’s role as a center of learning, art, and culture.
Halabja Massacre Commemoration (March 16)
A solemn day of remembrance for the victims of the 1988 tragedy. The institute organizes memorial lectures, exhibitions, and moments of silence, ensuring students never forget this important part of Kurdish history.
Nawruz Festival (March 21)
A joyful celebration of Kurdish New Year, symbolizing freedom, renewal, and hope. The campus comes alive with traditional Kurdish music, dance, colorful clothes, food festivals, and cultural performances.
International Women’s Day (March 8)
